Slumbering Ulysses placed on the shores of Ithaca
|
Engraving 240x324 mm. Rare first state of two, before the Petri's address. Lettered at bottom left "BOL. IN.". After Primaticcio's fresco in the Galerie d'Ulysse at Fontainebleau.
A very fine impression. Trimmed between platemark and borderline on three sides and just outside the borderline at the botton. A short printer's crease at upper border and other minor defects and repairs but generally in very good condition.
